Fulco delighted in incorporating the brilliance of nature in his creations.  While visiting the gift shop at the Museum of Natural History Verdura discovered "Herkimer diamonds" - naturally-occurring double-pointed crystals then found only in Herkimer County, New York, and immediately recognized their potential.  Today they have been re-interpreted in rock crystal, with diamond accents and 18k yellow gold, with a  17.5" gold chain.
